Just because they react, doesn’t mean they’re bad dogs.
It starts with understanding.
Fear. Frustration. Overwhelm.
Reactivity always has a reason. Whether it’s fear, frustration, or feeling overwhelmed by their surroundings, a reacting dog is an uncomfortable dog. Dogs may worry about other dogs getting too close, some get frustrated when they’re pulled away from something exciting, and others simply find busy environments overstimulating.
No matter the cause, reactivity doesn’t make your dog “bad.” It just means they’re communicating in the only way they know how. With patience, understanding, and the right support, reactivity can be managed and improved.

We’re Here For You
Positive Reactions isn’t a training institute; it’s a walking service designed to support dogs and their people. We know that reactivity can sometimes make walks feel overwhelming, and that’s where we step in. Our goal is to give dogs the chance to enjoy safe, structured walks, while giving owners peace of mind that their dog’s needs are being met with patience and understanding.
Reactive walks are single dog only, unless otherwise discussed and agreed between both parties. Walks are £16/hour.
The Process
All our walks begin with a meet and greet, which helps everyone get to know each other. We can discuss specific needs, triggers, expectations, and even favourite rewards. That way, when we get out on our first walk we can be as prepared as possible - nothing is better than setting us all up for success!
The Meet And Greet
Not all relationships start off rock solid. Sometimes it takes a bit of work to get going, so we can start off with some training sessions to bond and build trust. What kind of training this might be and what it will look like can be discussed in the Meet and Greet.
Pre-Walk Training
Once everyone is comfortable, we’re ready to head out on our first walk! Length, location, and activity level can all be tailored to meet your dog’s needs. Your dog will be under constant assessment to make sure they are comfortable and able to build confidence in a practical way.
Out And About
Are you a self-professed helicopter parent? No worries at all! We will send you updates while we’re out on our walk so you know what your dog is up to and how they are doing. We can also meet up regularly to update you on any progress or concerns.

Setting Achievable Goals
Have you ever tried to learn something new, but gave up because you didn’t feel like you were any good at it? Imagine if you had someone in your corner, cheering you on for every little success, how things might have turned out differently? At Positive Reactions, we aim to set achievable goals that build confidence in your dog from the very start.
Confidence On Every Walk
A muzzle doesn’t make a bad dog. They can be an important tool to help keep walks safe and stress-free. We believe every dog deserves to enjoy their walks, and we’re committed to removing the stigma around muzzled dogs while promoting confidence on every walk.
Check out The Muzzle Movement for more information on how muzzles can contribute to a safe, fun, confident dog.
