Hello! I’m Erin Halifax, the heart and hands behind Positive Reactions Dog Walking in Doncaster, UK.

With over 10 years of experience working with dogs and other animals, I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. I wholeheartedly believe that every dog is a good dog and deserves walks tailored to their needs. I work to bring them walks filled with positive reinforcement, plenty of sniffing time, and attentive guidance to ensure they feel safe and happy.

Animals have been my lifelong companions. From dogs and horses to pigs and lizards, I’ve spent my life forming bonds with creatures big and small. This passion led me to earn a Bachelor of Science in Animals and Behaviour, during which I fostered greyhounds and volunteered with a local rehoming organization. One special greyhound, Oxford, became a permanent fixture on our couch and in our family.

After university, I worked as a zookeeper in Australia, caring for multiple species and learning the power of compassion, patience, and understanding in animal care. While keeping was rewarding, my heart led me to the UK, where I’ve spent the past few years working at wildlife sanctuaries, parks, and supporting friends and family with their animals. My experience with reactive dogs in sanctuary settings inspired me to focus on helping dogs and owners navigate challenges with confidence and care.

Now, with Positive Reactions, I bring my experience and knowledge directly to dog owners in Yorkshire. My goal is to help maintain a healthy, happy lifestyle for dogs of all temperaments, including those who may not fit the “typical” dog walking profile. Combining years of hands-on experience with a deep understanding of animal behaviour, I provide walks that are safe, supportive, and joyful.
